Heritage

In 1962, Vogue Jewellers opened its doors to the world. The first Vogue Jewellers showroom was opened at 1st Cross Street, Colombo 11 by Mr. Sarath Hemachandra who was a visionary and undoubtedly, ahead of his time.

The name Vogue was given to this jewellery boutique to signify the exquisite pieces of jewellery it has always been reputed for. Fashion forward, vibrant, beautiful and authentic in design and materials; Vogue Jewellers is a name that embodies a rich history of always giving its customers the widest range of jewellery.

In 1967, Vogue Jewellers moved its primary showroom to Colpetty, which, at that time was primarily a residential area. As strange as this was to most people, Vogue Jewellers was driven by one idea and that was to be closer to its clientele. Convenience and ease of accessibility was added to Vogue’s portfolio of services.

The philosophy of Vogue stems from the fact that this company values its people. This precious asset is what has made Vogue Jewellers the great name it is today. Likewise, Vogue treats each and every customer as a valued person. Sarath Hemachandra was a man who felt the pulse of fine jewellery. He made it a point to personally select the gems that would adorn the fine pieces of jewellery that were being crafted for his customers. He himself was a master craftsman. And it is this philosophy that Vogue Jewellers brings to you.

The reins were handed over, in the mid 70s to Anura Hemachandra, son of Sarath Hemachandra to take Vogue Jewellers to yet another revolutionary level while retaining the strong heritage that was at the heart of Vogue’s identity.

The legacy of Vogue Jewellers stems from the fact that every single piece of jewellery they create, whether it be a dainty pair of earrings or an elaborate necklace, comes to you with a lifetime’s guarantee. This tradition echoes in Vogue Jeweller’s credo, which is “with you forever”.

To the people of Vogue Jewellers, selling jewellery is not a mere commercial activity. On the contrary, it is a way of life. They believe in and are committed to forging a strong relationship with each and every one of their customers. They believe in creating an experience that you will cherish throughout your life time.

Every single piece of Vogue’s jewellery speaks volumes of the rich heritage that forms the foundation of this company.

Vogue Jewellers has proven its reliability through 5 decades of serving you.

Vogue Jewellers has proven its commitment to giving you not only a piece of jewellery but a beautiful experience to cherish throughout your life.

Vogue Jewellers stands by its lifetime’s guarantee by being with you forever.
